Attention: "First-Time Solar Home System Buyers Who Want To Avoid Overspending"......You Got To See This!

Do you intend to get an alternative power supply for your home or office but not sure of the capacity you will need, the amount it might cost you, or the brand that will be good enough to power your appliances?

Probably you've started researching for some brands of products or gotten quotes from some engineers but it seems overwhelming and you are not satisfied with the results?

I am here for you!

First things first, You need to know if what you will need to power your home is an Inverter Battery System or Solar Home System.

Inverter Battery System comprises of Inverter and Batteries, and it works best when you have PHCN power supply of between 6 - 10 hours daily to charge your system.

You don't need to buy solar panels.

While Solar Home System comprises of Solar Panels, Inverter, Batteries and charge controller.

It mostly used as an off-grid system (not connected to PHCN) and is also recommended when the power supply from PHCN is between 0 - 4hrs daily.

The next thing you need to do is to carry out an Energy Audit (Walkthrough).

An energy audit helps you to determine the amount of energy needed in your home.

It also helps you to save money on electricity and will guide you in selecting the right capacity of inverter battery system you will need.

If you don't know the capacity of energy needed to power your home/office, it might Cost You a Fortune!

Either you end up overspending as a first-time buyer or acquiring a solar system that does not have the adequate capacity to power your appliances.

Then, identify your critical load and non-critical loads.

Critical Loads are basic appliances you use on a daily basis such as your light bulbs, fan, Tv, PC, Water Dispenser, Fridge/Freezer, AC

Non- Critical Loads are appliances you don't use often or can do without.

I recommend that you don't add any heating appliances such as pressing iron, water heater, microwave, electric oven to your critical loads in order not to wear out the batteries.

Add up your critical loads, I mean the number of bulbs, fans, TV, etc, you intend to power with an inverter system.

Use this guideline (diagram) below to choose the capacity required for your home/office.👇
